The name is said to have first been used by South Vietnamese Pres. Ngo Dinh Diem to belittle the rebels.

There is not a single accurate photo showing the sandals made out of tires that both the NVA and Vietcong wore 99% of the time. The book, published in the 's was obviously strongly influenced by the modern day PAVN. I was looking for an ACCURATE history. I did not find it in this book.
